Keep your reading skills sharp with Chapter Chats! A new chapter (or two) is read aloud each week. Young readers can take turns reading and then chat about what the group has read. Designed for elementary grades first through third.
Journal Club
Recurring, Thursday 5:30 - 6 p.m.
Come hang out and journal in a relaxed space! Every week there will be a journal prompt to get your ideas flowing but you can write about whatever you want!
Fun pens, stickers, and washi tape will be provided to decorate your pages.

Demolition Day

Calling all construction enthusiasts! Enjoy a special construction themed Storytime, Scavenger Hunt, Job Site Obstacle Course, and other activities! Grab a take home craft to build at home.!

Kids ages 8 - 12 can learn how to prepare a different snack each month. No registration is required.
Paws 2 Read with Storytime by Sharon O'Flaherty
Thursday, September 17th 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Join us for a SPECIAL Paws 2 Read event featuring local author Sharon O' Flaherty.
There will be a brief open house where children K-3rd grade can meet the therapy dogs they can practice reading skills, followed by a Storytime of Problems with Pooski by Sharon O'Flaherty.
Problems with Pooski is a charming rhyming picture book that captures the joyful chaos of bringing home a puppy with a mind of her own!

Explore new worlds, battle fierce monsters, and make new friends as we all tell a story together while playing Dungeons and Dragons. The Third Monday of the Month is for our Red Group. Due to the structure of the game, a smaller group size is required, and registration is required for this event.
Atomic Comic Blitz
Saturday, September 26th 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Enjoy creating your own coming strip. Freestyle or use provided templates. Explore ideas by searching through our graphic novels. For ages 6 and up.
Pokémon Club

Looking to battle it out with fellow fans of the Pokémon TCG? Or do you want to learn how to play? Then join our club! We will meet once a month to compete in battles and make a fun Pokémon craft.
Open to players ages 8 - 12.
Trades are to be reserved for after the meeting. Morley Library is not responsible for trades. All trades must be made with parent approval.

Haunted House Peep Dioramas
Thursday, October 1st - Thursday, October 15th
Calling all creative families! Pick up a Haunted House Peep Diorama Kit at the Children's Desk starting October 1. Each kit includes a pizza box and craft supplies to design your very own haunted house using peeps as characters.
Return your kit on or before October 15. We will display the completed kits in the Children's Department where patrons can vote for their favorite costumes, scenery, and best overall.

Adopt a Dinosaur

Ages 4 - 8. Registration required.
Browse the enclosures and pick out a new stuffed prehistoric pal to take home! Learn about your new friend's species, decorate a pet carrier to take them home in, and get an adoption certificate!

Ages 8 - 12. Registration required.
Browse the enclosures and pick out a tasty looking prehistoric pal to take home! Snack on some dino nuggets and try new sauces, decorate a nugget box to take them home in, and get an adoption certificate!
Paws 2 Read
Thursday, October 15th 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Relax and read to a dog in a cozy, pressure free environment. For Kindergarten through 4th grade, Registration is required. Sign up for your 15 minute time slot in person or by phone at (440) 352-3383.

Dia de Muertos: Una Celebracion de la Memoria | Day of the Dead: A Celebration of Memory
Saturday, October 31st 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Surrounded by the aroma of pan de muerto (a sweet bread), the warmth of champurrado (a type of hot chocolate), and the vibrant colors of the Catrinas, join us in celebrating one of Mexico's most cherished traditions. We will share stories, learn about Dia de los Muertos, and decorate Catrinas and sugar skulls as we lovingly remember those who remain in our hearts.
