Summer Storytime Schedule

Registration begins Tuesday, May 30th, and storytimes begin the following week on Monday, June 5th. Summer storytime session runs for 7 weeks. Click on the times below to register for a storytime starting May 30th or call us at 440-352-3383. NEW for Summer 2017, Toddler Tales, Baby Bookworms, Music in Motion, and Parachute Playtime will NOT require registration. There will also be no crafts for these classes during the summer session. We do request that children attending summer storytimes also register for our free Children's Summer Reading Club. Toddler Tales:

For children 3 years old and younger. Child attends with caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and flannelboards especially for little ones. Help children develop a life-long love of reading and the Library. Summer storytime session runs for 7 weeks. 

No registration needed.

Monday with Miss Jillianne 10:00AM - 10:30AM

Baby Bookworms:

For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers. Enjoy one-on-one lap time engaging in stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays and more. 20 minutes of stories, songs, etc. followed by 10 minutes of playtime and caregiver interaction. Summer storytime session runs for 7 weeks.

No registration needed.

Tuesday with Miss Robin 10:00AM - 10:30AM

Books at Bedtime:

For children 18 months through 5 years. Child attends with caregiver. Join us for a bedtime storytime! Kids can wear their PJs and cuddle with a stuffed animal. Stories, songs, a flannelboard and a craft are included. Summer storytime session runs for 7 weeks.

Music in Motion: 

For children 2 through 5 years. Child attends with caregiver. The focus of Music in Motion is stories, rhythm & music, and it is geared towards active children! Summer storytime session runs for 7 weeks.

No registration needed.

Wednesday with Miss Jillianne 10:00AM - 10:30AM

Preschool/Kindergarten Storytime:

For children 3 years to 6 years. Child attends without a caregiver, but the caregiver helps with the craft at the end. Join us for a storytime with a special focus on early literacy skills. Stories, songs, a flannelboard, and a craft are included. Summer storytime session runs for 7 weeks.

Thursday with Miss Joya 10:00AM - 10:30AM

Parachute Playtime!

NEW for Summer 2017! A fun-filled 30 minute parachute playtime for walking toddlers through 5 years old. Child attends with caregiver. Music, rhymes, games, and lots of fun shakin' the 'chute!

No registration needed.

Friday with Miss Barbara 10:00 - 10:30 AM

Stories & S.T.E.A.M:

Kids ages 6-8 can explore stories and more with science, technology, engineering, art, and math in this fun after-school program. Caregiver must stay in the building but does not attend with the child. Summer session runs for 7 weeks.

Weekly Schedule for Summer Stories & S.T.E.A.M.

June 9—DIY Kaleidoscopes

We will make fun, colorful kaleidoscopes out of everyday materials.

June 16—Tech Toys

Come play with our cool tech toys!

June 23—Vinegar and Baking Soda Powered Boats

We will make boats out of recycled materials that are powered by baking soda and vinegar.

June 30—”Fireworks” in a Jar

We will learn how to make “fireworks” in a jar and we will make a cool fireworks craft.

July 7—Solar S'mores

We will make solar ovens and use them to cook s'mores. Yum!

July 14—Hour of Code

We will be in the computer classroom, which is located in the basement of the library.

July 21—Sun Cookies

We will make an edible model of the sun.
