Teen Programs 2017

Welcome!  These programs are for teens in grades 7 - 12.  Register online by clicking on the program date and completing the registration form.  Teens may also register for programs at the Reference Desk on the 3rd floor, or call Morley Library at 440-352-3383.

January Teen Programs:

Teen Winter Reading BINGO!          

Register anytime during this 8 week period to participate in our Teen Winter Reading club — Bingo style!  Read books and attend teen programs to complete a row of squares vertically, horizontally, or diagonally for prizes.

Teen Movie Night ~ Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

In this movie based on the book by Ransom Riggs, Jacob discovers clues to a mystery that stretches across time.  He finds Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, but the danger deepens after he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers.  Let’s see how the movie compares to the book. Pizza provided!

Teen Tuesday Night Challenge

It’s a great night to hang out at the library!  We’ll be flipping water bottles, shooting hoops (with our new indoor basketball set), and discovering the secrets to solving the Rubik’s cube.  Bring your own Rubik’s cube if you have one, or borrow one of ours.   We’ll have a local expert on hand to share his tips.  Lots of snacks provided!

Designer Hot Chocolate

Come in from the cold and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.  We’ll have an assortment of goodies to create your own special blend in a jar for you to take home or give away as a gift.

Teen Library Scavenger Hunt

Are you overwhelmed with finding information?  Has Google failed you?  What you need is a librarian!  In this cool scavenger hunt, use your smartphone to scan QR codes, find clues, and solve riddles while discovering helpful library resources.  You’ll learn how to use the library effectively and have fun!  Prizes will be awarded and we’ll have snacks!  iPads available to borrow during the program.
